Breckenridge Insurance Group founder Tracey Carragher has signed the Inclusive Behaviours in Insurance CEO Pledge, “We’re All In for Inclusivity“as part of our ongoing BreckINspire diversity and inclusion efforts.
This insurance industry pledge publicly states our commitment to deliver on the vision of a diverse company culture where inclusive behaviors are the norm and where everyone is accepting of diversity. Simply defined, diversity means the quality or state of having many different forms, types, ideas, etc. Among individuals, diversity is the unique combination of qualities that make us who we are including: gender, race, sexuality, age, (dis)ability, background and religion.
With this pledge, we commit to ensure that, when interacting with our employees, everyone can expect to:
– Be treated with respect, courtesy and dignity
– Be treated in a manner free from discrimination and objectification
– Not be harassed, bullied or victimized
– Be dealt with in an honest, transparent and legal way
The pledge initiated in the UK by Inga Beal, CEO of Lloyd’s of London, and Tulsi Naidu, CEO of Zurich UK, quickly migrated across the pond to the states recognizing the need to attract and retain the best, diverse talent to our industry that truly reflects our customer base.
