Job Summary

The Receptionist is responsible for welcoming visitors in a professional manner and appropriately directing telephone calls to employees in all divisions and locations, as well as providing general support to the Kennesaw office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greets visitors in a professional and courteous manner and notifies appropriate personnel of the visitor’s arrival.
  • Answers phones with a positive, helpful attitude and routes calls to the appropriate person
  • Effectively operates telecommunication system by following manufacturer’s instructions for house phone and console operation.
  • Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items to the appropriate staff.
  • Maintains employee and department directories to appropriately direct customers.
  • Maintains security by following procedures, monitoring logbook, and issuing visitor badges.
  • Keeps a safe, clean and welcoming reception area.
  • Assists with preparing for meetings as needed, including setting up, ordering food and clearing the room when the meeting is concluded.
  • Assists various departments (HR, Accounting, IT, etc.) and colleagues with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Maintains common areas such as the lobby, break room, conference rooms, etc. to ensure they are clean, organized and adequately supplied.
  • Alert management of potential security issues.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma and prior experience as a receptionist
  • Ability to manage a multi-line telephone system
  • Warm personality with strong communication skills
  • Consistent, professional appearance and manner
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Good time management skills
  • Experience with administrative and clerical procedures
  • Willing and able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping out with various tasks as required
